Bitwise has now donated over $380K to open-source Bitcoin devs

Bitwise Asset Management has reached a significant milestone in its commitment to the cryptocurrency ecosystem, with total donations to open-source Bitcoin development now exceeding $380,000. This initiative is funded by Bitwise’s pledge to donate 10% of the profits from its Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) to support the developers who maintain the network’s core infrastructure. The funds have been distributed to prominent non-profit organizations such as Brink and OpenSats, which provide essential grants to independent researchers and coders. By reinvesting in the protocol’s security and scalability, Bitwise aims to ensure the long-term health and decentralization of the Bitcoin network, acknowledging the critical role that open-source contributors play in the success of digital asset investment products.
