Aave, the leading decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, has announced a significant strategic realignment, confirming the wind-down of its subsidiary entity, Avara, and the complete phase-out of the consumer-facing Family Wallet product. This decision signals a decisive move back to prioritizing core DeFi infrastructure and protocol development over dedicated consumer-facing applications.

Avara, which was formerly known as Aave Companies, was established to foster broader consumer adoption through user-friendly Web3 applications.
